America or Germany?

America or Germany?
for all you people that said germany was better than america, your opinions were not valid! the reason is that the only people that answered my question( why is america better than german) were people who were in germany for a year or less, or were in the military in germany. i live here and have for 5 years, and germany has nothing compared to the states. why is that? this country is over 1000 years old! how long does it take to get ones shit in order? no wonder they lost both wars! dont get me wrong the culture is great and the food is ok, but no variety, and the jobs, in america a person without a college education can work in a factory making 12 to 15 dollars an hour, sure we only get 2 weeks vacation a year, but who needs 6 weeks when you dont make enough money to go anywhere? and whats funny is people here just say its normal and they dont question anything, and when you ask questions like mine they get insulted, why is that? look forward to the replies.

I am an American and probably should not answer this question, as I have never left my country and never plan to; but have studied up on other countries, listen to news on them and know people stationed or lived in other countries. I worked a Hotel front desk for 6 years so meant alot of people from other countries, heard alot of them say bad stuff about America and always wondered if they hate us so much why come here. But generally some very nice people the French are ones never had any nice things to say about us..yet never answered my question if it was just New York or whole country. 9/11 when that was going done I was at front desk checking people out from all over the world, want to see mass confusion, people from France,Germany,England, Japan, and China all wanting to get to new york city and no plane flying(take 390 to thruway and be there in 5 to 6 hours)

I have been to Germany and the German people are so mean, sorry for the generalization but they treated us like crap and we had someone in our group that spoke German. The customer service is horrible and I would never eat in one of the resturants. I never see dogs in resturants in America.

EDIT : Just read your other posts.Sorry for your personal situation, but please don't blame us for not giving you a job without certificate.Blame your former employers for not giving you one. Be honest : If you were a german employer and get 20 applications, 19 from germans who speak native german, have 5 - 15 years of work experience in that field plus a matching job certificate and one foreigner speaking broken german, no job certificate and no continuous work life (having worked in different fields, instead of specializing), whom would you give the job? How are they supposed to check you didn't lie on your CV, btw.? Low-paying jobs are quite normal, I just finished university (M.A.) and get job offers that pay 4,50 รข‚¬ net. I won't discuss why that is so (takes far too much writing), but I'd like to remind you that that is true for almost every european country, pretty much every country in europe requires either apprenticeship or academ. degree for a job.The US is not the norm, but the exception. In long terms, you should either get some certificate or look into jobs that don't require one and pay well (truck driver, for ex.).Or work for the US military.Or think of moving back. P.S::I was on http://www.toytowngermany.com/forum/ for some time and never encouraged people with less than a college degree to come to germany, that's a bad idea.Germany is a very bureaucratic country, without papers you're nothing here.If I had known of your situation before you came, I'd have advised you against coming here.
