African american film extras in germany?

African american film extras in germany?
I have no film experience.. but I was wondering could a black man make decent money as a random film extra in german commercials or films? I want to move to germany, but I don't have a job on contacts lined up , and I read somewhere that film extras make easy money

You would need a resident permit and a work visa before you can work I hope you are aware of that fact http://www.auswaertiges-amt.de/diplo/en/WillkommeninD/EinreiseUndAufenthalt/uebersicht.html http://www.auswaertiges-amt.de/diplo/en/WillkommeninD/EinreiseUndAufenthalt/Zuwanderungsrecht.html Also these jobs are not too many and most go away really fast through castings. You would need to register with a real casting agency which is not cheap at all in most cases you need to invest quite some money before getting some back. EDIT @ Alwin the visa problem will be the same in the UK he is not allowed to work there as American citizen without having a work permit! We all know you do not care about illegal but please realise you do not help people by telling them to commit criminal offenses yoiu will not have to bear the consequences it is they who will have to bear them!

Do not work there without having your paperwork done if you work illegally you will get deported and banned from reentry to any EU country for at least 5 years

If you're from the U.S., you might try it via Great Britain. They're a member of the European Union, like them or not. And they most probably speak your language there, while on continental Europe, you will have to deal with a dozen languages, which will not make your job any easier, and none of which will be yours. And German is not one of the easiest languages to learn. Film extras CAN make up to 300 euros for a single phrase IF they speak German and IF the director selects them to show up on screen. If not, you'll get some 20 euros, a dry sandwich and a handshake from the producer for a day's work. If you get any money at all; some producers even try to lure you in with a free ticket. Don't even expect a sandwich; even drinks are BYO.

Germany is, i would say 97% white. You can see a black guy in maybe 1 out of 100 commercials. Forget it. You will never find a job. In series and movies its the same. They don't want black people in TV (Except foreign movies). Not because racism or something like that. Just becaus they aren't used to it. The first time i saw a US commercial with a black man it was strange to me just because i havn't seen that before.
