How much spending money will I need for 4 weeks in Germany?
I am studying abroad this summer for 4 weeks from mid June to mid July. The program is in Saarbrucken, Germany (southwest, right on French border). I will already have lodging and breakfast covered along with airfare. About how much should I account for spending money for these 4 weeks? I will be going to pubs probably every weekend, and I might make a weekend trip to Paris also. Thanks!

Depends on your personal lifestyle you willhave to pay for lunch and dinner and add some spending money I would calculate a minimum of 50 € per day which adds up to 1500 € for 4 weeks if you intend to go to Paris for a weekend add another 400 € minimum that does not include any luxury. 1900 € you need to check teh US $ the exchange rate varies almost every day

If you only spend money on Fri/Sat in pubs then figure 30,00 Euro./day. If going to Paris, you need to figure in what travel costs--train, fly costs and rooms are at least 100,00 euro/night. Food is 25,00euro/person. You have to remember for every 1,00 euro you spend, it is $1.50 USD. I'd say take 1500.00-1700.00. I think, 2,000.00 will be over needed. But, it depends if you are buying t-shirts etc. You have to add that into the equation.
