I'll travel to Würzburg, Germany for some time, and i want to make sure that there's a money transfer agent there that I can rely on. I dealt a lot with "Western Union". In Germany Western Union are working with the German Verkehrs und Reisebank which is present in most railway stations all over the country and with the German Post office too these are present everywhere in the country.. But Western union is to my personal opinion more expensive than any regular bank.

I'm currently stationed in Germany (Army) brand new and the Euro rate is killing me. I'm with my wife and she's currently looking for a job but we're having a hard time saving money for nice things for the house. I want to be a good provider for her and make her happy. Any ideas?

Can a translator/interpretor make good money?
I plan on majoring in German and minoring in English. I'm almost at the rate of fluency in German, and want to start learning french next year in college. My old goal was to teach english in germany, but now I had a new thought pop up. I could be a tranlsator for a German or English company!! But can you make decent money??

Definitely! Some translators/interpreters make good money, it all depends on how fast and accurate you are. It is definitely more difficult to work on a freelance basis because of a huge competition in the market, but if you are lucky to get the projects then most probably you can make it your full time job even and make good income. You can always combine teaching and translating.

Well... unless you already have a bunch of money it's really hard to get in on an IPO (Initial public offering). Usually those IPOs are only made available to large investors. Those investors will start to carve off the pieces they have purchased then start selling them at a profit. Those of us who have little to spend have to wait until the stock has been passed through several hands, increasing the price along the way. I wish I had a better answer.

In the US, firm issue public equity through the use of underwriting firms. These firms acquire the stock and then sell it usually to large clients. I would suggest approaching the owners now and seeing if you can purchase part of the firm now and then hope the sale of public stock will provide you a gain. I also suggest that if you know this detail, others do as well.

Become a private investor in the company. Contact them. Make sure you have millions. They likely won't deal and spend time and energy for nickel and dimes.

I have no idea how to make my own website, and I have an idea for one that could make me some money. I am an American who lives with my husband in Germany, and just figured out how to make an income through a website-I am too excited! Please help me to start one-I cannot stand staying at home just doing housework. Thank you to all that have answered up until now. Obama wants to pattern the economy of the US after the "green economy" of Spain. Spain has an unemployment rate of 20%, is that what you want to have come here? The "Recession of Bush" with its unemployment rate of 5%, is easier to take than the "Recovery of Obama" with its 9.7% unemployment rate.

A guy he is old and Anglo-Indian now denmark citizen supposed to be my very good friend meet him first time in june 2008 after that we talk lot in phone and he oftenly invited me to his place in weekend also take me to the trip to Prague and Salzburg before trip he say to me I don't have to pay anything as Im like his son. I believe him during both trip at different time he asked me fo some money around 90 euro. And later in winter he call me and ask again for 110 euro as he told that he will pay me when he got his money from Arbietsam now not only he uses abusive language and start blaming me that i make his 17 DVDs scratched which I take from him to watch only and are no more useful for him and reject to pay me my money and said that we give you food , shelter and entertain you and threatened me that He has friends with big contact in Germany with those people help he can make me out of country if I call again and ask for money again. I am really depressed and don't know what to do? I am a student and I know how I gave him money......

I've noticed that Adidas bought Reebok, sponsors the NBA, sponsor the NY Yankees and some major college football teams. I know their based in Germany, but how did they make all this money? I assume it has to be from sponsoring European football, but I'd like to know more about it.

I live an hour away from any town, i go to school 5 days a week (naturally), and i'm never home on sundays, so how can i make money? i really need it because i need to save up so i can go over to germany like i want to and teach english, without having to stay here in australia and work at a job i don't particularly like before i can get over there. so if anyone has any suggestions please help! thanks =) ps no stupid internet sites either thanks im not really allowed to

OK, so you're going to have something that other people want, you can sell many times, and make a little bit of money each time you sell it... how about writing an Ebook- How teenagers can make money. Come up with 20 or 30 ways you can do it and launch it on the social pages like Facebook, Myspace etc. I bet that you could easily come up with the ideas, and maybe you sell it for $5 each report, you'd be helping others, it's easily affordable, and once you've written it you can sell it over and over again. good luck Tony

Like, you know how the U.S. is in debt? When I first heard that, the first thing I thought was "Print more money" and I didn't think of it again until someone brought it up a couple days ago in my AP Human Geography class. I don't understand how printing more money can make it worth less. Like how Germany (I think it was that country) printed more money to pay off a debt; how China printed a lot of money, making it worth less; and how the pound is worth more than U.S. dollars. I really don't get it ._.

What is the best way to make money selling American products in Europe?
I have heard from several people that some American brands (e.g. Abercrombie) are somewhat rare/expensive in Europe. Apparently it is a combination of tariffs, taxes etc that bring the price up. What I want to do is bring a couple articles of clothing, or other objects, to sell in hopes of making money and getting rid of things I don't use. What I would like advice on is how to do this and what to sell. If it helps I will be in Germany, France, and Belgium.

In Belgium it's illegal to sell on the streets, you will get arrested. Plus you'll have to gain a license, but I think that kind of license will only allow yo to rent a spot on the marketplace during a marketday and sell your goods there.

After WWI - Germany was pretty much robbed of her money due to the Treaty of Versaille, however, before WWI, Germany had all that money to make airplanes, tanks, and jeeps for the war. I know France and Great Britain did change some things in the treaty to make it not as harsh on Germany, but it still seems like Germany would be quite poor into the 1930's. Does anyone know how Germany (Hitler) got the funds to build such a great army? It's supposed to say "before WWII" not WWI - sorry

If you are asking what is cheaper in the US than in Germany, then the answer is just about everything-- clothes, ipods, laptops, etc. OTOH, the differences in price might not be great enough to help you make large profits, especially if you are being the goods in US retail stores. Also, it might be hard for you to find buyers (I cannot imagine someone selling clothes on the street) and as the other person said, if you bring in a lot of merchandise for sale, you might get in trouble. If money is tight, you might not afford to travel to Europe now. If you are a student, you might be able to baby sit.

As a tourist you are not allowed to sell anything in Germany.You need a business visa and pay custom and taxes if you want to do this, anything else would be illegal and you risk being baned from ever getting another visa to Germany or any other EU country.

how can a 13 year old american girl make money in Germany?
I'm in germany and wherew i live everyone is german, so i cant get babysitting jobs. I cant sell lemonade because no one knows exactly what i would be selling. PLEASE PLEASE tell me a good job that i can do for the summer. any answer works right now, THANKS.

Work for somebody else. Advertise your availability to the neighborhood. Make up some fliers and stick them to the neighbors front door. Do extra chores for your parents (dust furniture, vacuum carpets, sweep floors, scrub windows). Negotiate the best fees you can, maybe half what they might 1.pay a professional. 2.Mow lawns. Charge different fees depending on the size of the yard. 3.Sell some of your things that you don't want, with your parents permission. 4.Walk dogs. They love it, and it would really help out the owner. 5.Babysit smaller children. Take a babysitting course. 6.Water Neighbors Plants. 7.Car washes
