How do i make all this money fast?
So in 10 months i'm going to germany and i need $2000 i got a job but it really own't cover it cause i pay small bills and the rest that i have a waste it on gasoline and its a real small part-time job. How can i make that in 10 months. ( i still go to school) And i want to go to this concert and i have to come up with about $120 but i have to pay $35 for the ticket in about 1 and 1/2 weeks. and then next week friday i have to pay my teacher $45 because i want to go to a musical please give me good ideas thanks

If your 15 or over,then you COULD start applying every store/place you can find....if your under then you COULD mow the lawn for people,have a garage sale,etc. for people. Remember i said COULD

You need to decide what is more important to you 1. going to Germany 2. going to a concert and to a musical. If you need to save $ 2000 in 10 months then you will have to get a better job or quit spending on the other unimportant things. We all have wants but we can't always take advantage of them if we need to save for something important.

Any ideas on how to fundraise for a trip to Germany?
My German Class is taking a trip to Germany and my parents are already sending my brother to Australia (the band at our school was chosen to play at the Sydney Opera House and is one of only 5 world wide high schools playing there so this is really really cool to go). I however have a conflict that I can't go to Germany unless I come up with the money. I need ideas on how to get $350 by next February and an additional $2000 by next July. I can't get a job because baseball and school takes up pretty much all my time even in the winter because I'm working out to make the high school team.

well, hold an all-day car wash or something.

First get some friends together! Go to a local shop on the main street that has a hose connection and do a marathon car wash event. Make sure you have lots of soap, towels and buckets. Then ask your parents for an advance on your car washing income.

First come up with a plan how you can make the money let's say by the end of 2008. Car washing is an option, not mine though. You can sell people's stuff on eBay and get a commission. Talk to your friends and look into your hobby - you might come with something that can $3000 richer ... after all it's just a $58 a week. May be even give a $10 lessons to younger kids who learn to play baseball (talk yo parents of kids in elementary school). Now when you have a good plan (put it on a paper) run to your parents and tell that you have a how to make 3K and ask them to lend you the money that you will return WITH INTEREST. I don't know you parents, but they probably would not take interest but will take you a bit differently. See how the respond if they start with "yes, but..." just go on with negotiation. All you need know is to make them pay that $350 and work out the details later. It might be that by July you would be able to pay them back and make 2K. That should be your goal. Best of luck!

Do the Marines make you pay for your hotel room prior to leaving the States?
A friend of mine says that her son called her and needed money to pay for his hotel room in Maine due to a delay. He called her again from Germany saying he needed money for a hotel room due to a delay. They than took off for Iraq. A friend told me that in Germany they have barracks, no one stays at a hotel. So maybe the Maine incident is believeable but the money he wanted for a hotel in Germany I don't believe. Why would they let those guy/gals roam at will in another country.

no, the marines pay for it. My friend was homeless and joined the marines and they payed for his room and board before deployment. They are responsible for that

You usually file a claim when you arrive at your next assignment and they reimburse you for your expenses while traveling if they don't put you up in the barracks. Save all your receipts.

He was pulling mom's leg.

My boyfriend is a Marine and he had to pay for his hotel while he had to wait because of delays. I don't know so much about the time he was in Germany, but the time when he was in Maine can totally be valid.

He will get re-reimbursed... things happen and sometimes they do need to pay for it themselves at the time, but they will get that money back if they take the receipts to Financing.

can any body help me find a good proformance shop in germany.. i am trying to find that 1 stop shop:::: r atlest a place to go and ask what do i need and do u sell it... man its like nobody wants to make money>>> thanx

Sind Sie jetzt im Deutschland? Das ist aber sehr leicht! Simply ask around. Germans are crazy about their cars and there are tons of very competent performance and tuner shops around.

Germany is a big place. There are lots of performance shops located throughout the country. Try contacting several "Tuning" shops that are listed in the Auto, Motor und Sport Magazine. They often have TEL numbers listed and the city or town where they operate their business. What kind of car do you want to modify? Call and ask what kind of cars and tuning they specialize in.
