Entering Germany with declared money?
I know we have to declare if we are carrying more than 10,000.00 euros into Europe. I am going to Germany and will declaere the cash I will have with me, but are they going to make me pay tax on this amout?

No you are not taxed, but you must answer some question where you got the money from and why you have such an amount with you. Best is, you take a paper from your bank.

If you are German citizen, or legal resident in Germany they might ask you where that money comes from, and it might happen you have to pay taxes in case they can prove you did not pay taxes on it yet. If you are foreigner with no residence in Germany there is no reason to pay taxes on that money.

The only reason why you have to declare is money laundering / terrorism. There is no tax to be paid. German customs recommend to bring documents that prove origin, owner and destination of the money.
