What are the consequences of seperating and divorcing a German girl in Germany?
I was married to a German girl just over 1 year ago. We were married in Denmark. I have a good job making good money. We live in Germany together. She has a 5 year old son from another man. I never adopted him. The father has never paid a dime for him. She has not worked since 2 years. She is not happy about the spliting up, but we both think it is best.

You have no obligations for the child that is not yours but if she isn't working and you make more money you may be ordered to pay temporary maintenance/alimony until she finds a job where she can support herself.
